These Creator Offerings Terms explain the offerings and verification process for Creators on The Breakdown App. By becoming a Creator on The Breakdown App, you agree to these Creator Offerings Terms, in addition to The Breakdown App’s general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. These Creator Offerings Terms may be updated from time-to-time by The Breakdown App and will apply to you the next time you visit our website or use our services. You should check this page for changes. These Terms were last updated August 5, 2021.
To qualify to be paid by The Breakdown App for being a Creator you must first be verified by us and then link your Stripe account to your The Breakdown App account. The verification process is explained below. You must complete the verification process to become verified; however, The Breakdown App shall have the sole right to determine whether you qualify to be verified and makes no promise or warranty that you will qualify to be verified. Currently, we can only pay Creators through a linked Stripe account, so you must link your Stripe account to your The Breakdown App account.
Verified Creator Status
How does a user receive a red ring around their avatar and a golden “v” next to their name?
- Both of these features confirm that a Creator has completed and been approved through the verification process, thereby confirming their likeness and unlocking full app functionality. This designation can be achieved at the beginning of your account creation process, or through the user settings (three lines in the upper right-hand corner of the screen) by selecting “Creator information”, then “Become Creator Verified” and following the verification instructions. Tier 1 Creator Verification will yield the red avatar ring and tier 2 produces the golden “v”
What is the benefit of becoming a Verified Creator?
- Confirm your likeness
- Start a chat gallery, and leave comments within
- Comment in other user chat galleries
- React to chat comments
- Start/join live streams (free or premium)
- Accumulate a profit every time Admirers pay your set access fee to view your premium content or subscribe to your account
- Build a network by following other Creators
What extra tools are provided to Creators?
- The Creator Dashboard provides Admirer engagement insight, as well as a breakdown of earned profits
How are Verified Creators Compensated?
- Verified Creators will receive bi-weekly payouts via Stripe transaction
- Subscription
- Verified Creators receive 75% of their set subscription fee, per subscriber
- Paid per viewer (For Premium Content only and must have five or more viewers to receive compensation)
Verified Creators will receive compensation for Admirer access to individual videos, based on the below scales
- 5-10 viewers = 60% – 80% earned payout
- 11-20 viewers = 65% – 80% earned payout
- 21-30 viewers = 70% – 80% earned payout
- 31-40 viewers = 75% – 80% earned payout
- 41-50 viewers = 75% – 80% earned payout
- 51+ viewers = 75% earned payout
Content Creation
What types of content can Creators provide?
- Each art form (known as a Channel) has pre-set Bucket Tags that function like hashtags, categorizing Chat Stream and Live Central content produced by Creators and Admirers. Bucket Tags are visible upon Chat Gallery creation and live video scheduling. Bucket Tags are also visible on each Live Central channel filter
Who can start a live stream or upload pre-recorded video?
- Only Verified Creators have the ability to post or stream video content
What is considered premium content?
- Uploaded or streamed video requiring an access fee, which supports the content Creator
Does premium content expire?
- Premium content does not auto-expire and will reside in the ArchLive section of the Creator or purchasing Admirer’s Library. However, regular video posts will expire in 24hrs. These are default settings and can be changed by the Creator
How do Creators interact with Admirers via live video stream?
- Live video streams can be created instantly, or scheduled with countdown notice
- Creators have the option to accept question submissions prior to the start of a scheduled live video stream (Maximum number of Admirer submitted pre-live questions are pre-determined and customizable)
- All users have the option to submit a pre-live question if they are subscribed to that Creator’s content
- Live video stream notifications will be sent to all account followers upon scheduling of video session and when session goes live
